The overwhelming majority of Americans are Christians. Roughly 2.5% of Americans adhere to Judaism, and some 1%–2% are Muslims.
The USA has a diverse society. The most recent United States Census officially recognized five racial categories (White, Black or African American, Asian American, American Indian/Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander) as well as people of two or more races.
Over a million speakers: English (official), Spanish, Chinese, Tagalog (incl. Filipino), Vietnamese, Arabic, French, Korean.
Then there is Russian, German, Haitian Creole, Yiddish, Dutch, Armenian, Hebrew and many more.
What is the United States of America?
The U.S.A. is a country, a federal republic, of 50 states covering a vast swath of North America, with Alaska in the northwest and Hawaii extending the nation’s presence into the Pacific Ocean.
The USA borders Canada in the north; its southern 3,155 km long border to Mexico is partly furnished with a great wall (or fence). The United States also shares maritime borders with the Bahamas, Cuba, and Russia.
Is the USA safe?
The USA is a relatively safe place, it does have a higher crime rate than Australia. Not sure what that means but then you know. Mass shootings/gun violence have been more frequent in the last couple of years in the USA. Burglary is another very common occurrence with reports of more than 2 million a year.
